Peggy Sweeney-McDonald, President - A professional event & meeting planner, specializing in creative meeting and event themes with over 12 years of experience in event and meeting management. Prior to creating SSE-LA, Peggy was the Manager of Meetings & Events for Oakwood Worldwide. Her responsibilities included event concept development, strategy and execution for conferences and annual high energy sales summits, as well as the President's Incentive Trip.  Peggy, the "Theme Queen" has designed and developed event programs such as “Taking the Lead for Sales Success”, a triumphant strategy for a sales meeting theme which took advantage of the current pop culture fascination with professional ballroom dancing.  She has also designed “Stepping Up to the Plate”, a baseball themed event which was fun, approachable and educational.  Peggy has an amazing ability to seamlessly meld her theatrical background with her event management skills, ultimately creating unique custom interactive programs that consistently delight and engage our clients and their guests.

An active member of Meeting Professional International, Peggy created and led the very popular workshop, “Discovering and Executing Creative Meeting Themes” for both the MPI Southern California Chapter Annual Trade Show and the annual Educational Summit.  Peggy was voted Shining Star of the Month for November 2005 and nominated for Rising Star of the Year for 2006 and Shining Star for 2007.  Peggy has a B.S in Speech & Theatre from LSU and for years worked in theatre, commercials, film and TV.

Anita Hawker, Vice President - West Coast - A veteran in brand integration with many years of experience in product placement, promotion marketing and PR.   Her expertise in strategic marketing, media placement, red carpet events, and promotional support was built through vast industry experience and successful client representation. As an entrepreneur who quickly built her own successful public relations boutique agency.  She has the ability to network in the Hollywood spotlight with ease, get to the heart of business with her unique blend of Hollywood glamour and red carpet savvy. Her philosophy is clear thinking, fair interaction and an eco-friendly approach to the environment when working with her clients. Anita holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Toronto.

Claudia Wong, Vice President - Business Development - Began her career working in special events in 2002, with YSBD, cultivating her appreciation for, and knowledge of, special event production and logistics, sales and the culinary arts.  With a focus on customer service, client development, menu planning and event design, Claudia developed the diversity of skills and experience that her clients find invaluable in creating cohesive and fluid events. Claudia has always enjoyed the many challenges tied to developing, coordinating and managing corporate and social events of all sizes and levels of complexity.

Norma G. Leet, Vice President-East Coast - After 20 years as a highly accomplished visionary executive in the corporate world, Norma brings invaluable skills into play in the event planning industry.  Norma was instrumental in the grand openings and grand reopening of many properties both domestic and internationally.  She was responsible for the design and implementation of the opening ceremonies and conference management.  Norma worked with Peggy for several years at Oakwood Worldwide where they collaborated on many corporate events nationwide designed to shape optimum performance from employees and to match the initiatives of the company at hand.   Through Norma, you can expect good communication, professional service and attention to detail.  And above all, the result will be that the event is planned according to how YOU dreamed it would be.  We will listen to your needs and create an unforgettable event.

Robert J. Carter, Event Manager, Robert comes to us with extensive experience in the food service and hospitality industry.   Robert is a culinary graduate of the prestigious Johnson and Wales University of North Miami, Florida.  Robert has a passion for cooking, special events, with emphasis on customer satisfaction.   He has worked for some of the best restaurants and caterers  in South Florida and Washington D.C., where he show cased his talents as chef,  server and event planning for private parties and corporate events.   Robert brings fresh new ideas to Super Star Events with his flair for creativity and a vibrant personality.  Always engaging,  always eager to Wow his clients, and always giving 100% commitment to his customers!
